From the supplier: The $2.1 billion losses resulting from the Feb 26, 1993 World Trade Center (New York, NY) explosion and the Mar 11-15 'Storm of the Century' that ravaged the East Coast did not hamper insurance industry stock price increases for the 1st qtr 1993. More than 80% of the 150 insurance company securities showed increases over the 4th qtr 1992 with 70% recording double digit increases. Financial service insurance stocks lead all other insurance industry branches which, in turn, outperformed all other stock prices indexes.
